An interesting version on the plain cast brass. This brass has a circular recess in the centre into which has been inserted a stamped petal/flower, unfortunately partially worn through. The back shows a single, round, central sprue rather than the more usual getts. I think this would have been to make it easier to hold the brass in lathe chuck when machining the recess for the insert.
