« The origin of the horse brass goes back many centuries, when man first used the horse extensively on the land. The supertisions prevalent at this time required a symbol to protect the horse from accident or injury and horse brasses were believed to have the supernatural powers to ward off evil spirits and prevent catastrophy.
There are many hundreds of designs with the origins in the past and even today new designs are being created to commemorate places of interest, historical buildings and even the famous in our society and horse brasses have become the greatest collector’s item for a generation. »
